Our mission is to educate the world on social justice, unconditional love and acceptance by having a bold presence in the world and giving back to Glide and LGBTQ communities. We host mo

nthly meetings and a number of community events to raise awareness of our group’s mission, cause and purpose.

Help coordinate and lead us for the coming year!

Pride Team Co-Chair Duties (12 month commitment):

Meeting Lead:
Welcomes people, starts meeting
Collects attendee names
Prepares & Runs agenda
Keeps discussion on topic
Maintains positivity

Online Lead:
Maintains email list
Follows Church policies related to communications
Answers emailed questions
Posts meeting announcements to email & social media
Maintains privacy of member email addresses (including use of BCC for announcement messages)

Coordinated (both co-chairs) Duties:
Drafting Meeting Agendas
Working with Church Office
Running the meetings

Election Meeting Protocol:

- review co-chair responsibilities
- nominations including self nominations (can run together as a duo or single)
- up to 2 minutes to express why you are nominating someone or yourself
- secret written ballot

Thank you to everyone who walked with us yesterday, and to everyone who sponsored one of us. We had a great day, starting with receiving the Community Hero award from Bert at AWSF! A special honor because we continue to show up every year, and we will continue showing up until there is no need for an Aids Walk anymore.

Our fundraising is currently at $9,995 and we still have until August 28 to continue receiving donations! Please help us to reach our $12,000 goal.

“On Sunday, July 19, AIDS Walk San Francisco celebrates its 40th Anniversary; a powerful milestone honoring four decades of remembrance, resilience, and action. What began in the early years of the epidemic as a bold act of love and defiance has grown into one of the most enduring HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness events in the country.

This year’s Walk is more than a gathering. It’s a tribute to the lives we’ve lost, a celebration of the progress we’ve made, and a renewed call to end the HIV epidemic once and for all.”

The Glide Pride Team is honored to once again be a part of this Walk, and we are asking for your assistance in sponsoring one of us for this year’s AIDS Walk SF on Sunday, July 19.

JOIN US TOMORROW AT GLIDE 9AM AND 11AM! 🌈

Suzanne Ford, San Francisco Pride Executive Director, will be the Special Presenter tomorrow at GLIDE Memorial Church.

The first trans woman to hold the office, she is a fierce activist working toward equal rights for the trans community. She is a founding member of the SF Pride Golf Tournament, the first and only PGA-endorsed event ensuring q***r visibility in one of the most cis-heteronormative spaces in the world– as well as SF Pride’s most lucrative board-led annual fundraiser to date.

Suzanne has also served as President of the board of the Spahr Center in Marin County and as a board member, Vice President, and Treasurer of SF Pride.

PRIDE TEAM CAKE AUCTION TOMORROW!! Once again Genie Mosey of Sweetrelish Catering Jessica Stambaugh has generously made and donated two beautiful 3 layer Red Velvet Cakes with cream cheese frosting for our Glide Pride Team cake auction.

If you would like to bid on these cakes, please show up at the 9am and/or 11am celebrations. We are also taking online donations via the YouTube or Facebook livestream!
