For Andre, the violin was always an instrument he loved to listen to - but the Shirley + Gary Rupert Memorial Scholarship helped him finally play it. Despite his dyslexia, Andre’s instructor (a symphony violinist!) found creative ways to help him master sight-reading.

Andre’s goal? To keep playing through college and start composing his own string quartets. We are so proud to support his vision!
