Happy Pride Month! 🌈

We’re proud to announce the theme for the 52nd Annual Castro Street Fair:

WHERE WE BELONG

Founded by Harvey Milk in 1974, the Castro Street Fair returns Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro District.

This year’s theme honors the Castro as a place where generations of LGBTQIA+ people have found community, safety, visibility, joy and chosen family.

A place where trans people belong.
Where drag belongs.
Where q***r joy belongs.
Where hope belongs.
Where we belong.

Join us for a day of local artists, community organizations, food, music, dancing, performance, neighborhood pride and celebration in the streets.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARVEY!

Today would have been our founder Harvey Milk’s 96th birthday.

Harvey’s legacy lives on in the Castro Street Fair, which has brought our community together for 52 years in celebration of joy, visibility, the vibrancy of the small business community, and neighborhood pride.

The Fair remains a living tribute to his belief in the power of community. As he says in this video from 1976 “A street fair should be for the neighborhood, about the neighborhood, and by the neighborhood.”

Apply to be a nonprofit beneficiary for 2026!

As part of the Castro Street Fair’s commitment to community support and inclusion, we welcome community nonprofits—especially organizations that serve or uplift the Castro, LGBTQ+ communities, and surrounding neighborhoods—to become a beneficiary partner.

Beneficiaries selected will receive a share of the 52nd Castro Street Fair’s proceeds by providing much needed volunteers. Beneficiaries also gain visibility, volunteer engagement, and a chance to be part of one of San Francisco’s most beloved neighborhood events.

How It Works:
Beneficiary organizations provide volunteers to support key areas of the Fair, such as entry gate donation collection, set-up, breakdown, and other logistics.

Eligibility & Requirements:
To apply, your organization must be a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Castro or surrounding communities.

The 52nd Annual Castro Street Fair is officially calling on all Bay Area artists! 🎨

We’re seeking a graphic artist to create the key art for the 2026 Fair, happening October 4, 2026.

The selected design will shape the visual identity of this year’s Fair — featured across:
• Social media
• Marketing campaigns
• Website
• Merchandise
• Print & digital signage
• And more

This is your opportunity to take your place in Castro Street Fair history and help define this year’s celebration.
