And with the last notes of Let The Sun Shine In, Landmark Musical Theatre heads into the sunset. Thank you to everyone who has (even if sporadically) supported us through 8 tumultuous years, from July 2015 through June 2023, through a variety of theaters (the Eureka, the Great Star, the Exit, the Shelton, the Phoenix, the Creativity Museum and ultimately our own theater at 533 Sutter), through ups and downs with the media, through a pandemic that shuttered the entire nationwide arts community for almost a year, and for our hopeful rising from the ashes in 2021 to do 8 more shows before having to close.
Thanks even to those who have criticized us. Without criticism, no one grows. All I would ask of those of you who have had negative things to say, be cautious and kind. None of you are perfect and you should consider, before you start criticizing others, how you might want to hear criticism when it is directed at you.
What happens next is anyone's guess, but we will be deciding many things in the next few weeks and we will let you all know when we have set our sights on new horizons. Again thank you for this crazy 8-year musical theater carnival ride. I hope every one of you has something positive to take away from all of this.
