A few snapshots from the first Ingleside workshop, where neighbors learned the basics of bike repair🚲🔧

Join us this Saturday for the next workshop. This time, we’re diving into car maintenance! You’ll learn how cars work (in brief), how to use mechanics’ hand tools, and how to change your engine oil.

This workshop series is especially exciting because it’s the first project to come out of our Leadership Cohort. Earlier this year, we launched a five-week program where emerging neighborhood leaders built the skills, relationships, and confidence to design and lead community projects. Huge shoutout to Stan for bringing these free workshops to Ingleside!

Keep an eye on our page for upcoming leadership cohort projects and events coming up soon✨

⏰ 4–9 PM

Rooted in the neighborhood’s legacy as the “Harlem of the West,” we’re partnering with to transform the neighborhood into a lively nighttime marketplace with local food and retail, live music, community spaces, and a kids zone.

And we’re not stopping there. Later this summer, a brand-new night market is coming to Visitacion Valley👀. We’ll share more details soon, but we’re excited to keep bringing these events to even more corners of the city🌁

We put in some serious work at the SF Botanical Garden on Saturday!

About 35 volunteers showed up to help pull invasive yellow lilies, transplant two giant gunneras (the massive leafy green guy pictured above), and spread fresh gravel, also pictured below.

It was hot and folks were sweating, but we managed to get a lot done. Huge thanks to everyone who came out and powered through with us💪

This upcoming Saturday is our last volunteer day at the Botanical Garden, and good news/bad news — signups are already full!

That being said, come June we’re heading to a new green space. We’ll be beautifying Mission Creek Park every Saturday of the month🌿

Do you live in San Francisco but don’t really know the people next door? You’re not alone, and you don’t need a big reason to change that🏘️

The Meet Your Neighbors Fund is giving San Franciscans $100 to host simple, low-lift gatherings that bring neighbors together. Think a home cafe, happy hour on the stoop, or burritos in your neighborhood park. Nothing too fancy, just a reason to say hello🌯🍻

There are (probably) amazing people living on your block. This is your excuse to meet them!

A few things to know:
• Gatherings must take place in San Francisco - other than that, you can host your neighbors in your building, on your stoop, in a backyard, or at a nearby park or public space
• At least 3 neighbors (besides you!) should attend
• We’ll ask for a photo or two and a short recap afterward
• Grants will be sent via Zelle
• The application deadline is Wednesday May 20, 2pm PST (one week from now!)

Fillmore, this one’s for you ✨

After four incredible years of the Fillmore Holiday Night Market, we’re expanding the fun into a year-round series of events, kicking off with “Bingo & Bites” on May 22.

Rooted in the legacy of the “Harlem of the West,” Fillmore After Dark will transform the neighborhood into a vibrant nighttime marketplace with local food, live music, artisan vendors, community spaces, and a kids zone.

📅 May 22, Aug 21, Oct 31, Dec 11
📍 Fillmore St & O’Farrell
⏰ 4–9 PM

This series aims to support local businesses while uplifting Black cultural excellence, storytelling, and entrepreneurship—creating a destination experience that celebrates both legacy and future growth. Whether you’re from the neighborhood or just discovering it, this is your invitation to come through and be part of it.

This Earth Day, we’re thinking about the 7x7 slice of Earth we call home🌎

All across San Francisco, people are showing up to take care of it. We’ve got 17 neighborhood cleanups happening across SF every single weekend through our Clean Up The City program with . And every single weekend hundreds of volunteers show up, pick up trash, and enjoy a meal together🚮

They’re a simple way to pitch in, but added up they go a long way (the numbers above don’t even account for volunteers and trash bags collected in April)!!

Join us this weekend, or any weekend. After all, every day is Earth Day!🌱
