🎓✨ BLACK COLLEGE EXPO IN OAKLAND THIS WEEKEND!✨🎓

📚Students have the opportunity to connect with HBCUs from across the country
📄 Many receive on-the-spot college acceptances
💡 Youth are exposed to higher education in a fun, supportive, and exciting way

🕘 Schedule for the Day
• 9:00 AM - Meet-up, breakfast & orientation at 1550 Evans Ave
• 10:00 AM - Depart for Oakland
• 3:00 PM - Return to SF

Before heading out, students receive breakfast, an orientation on the importance of college, and real advice on how to succeed at the Expo. Throughout the day, representatives from our partner organizations chaperone and support students every step of the way.

We are so excited to announce that the annual 55th APRI National Education Conference in beautiful New Orleans, LA, July 22-26, 2026 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.

We are starting early so please ensure that you book your rooms before June 26, 2026.

Join us this Thursday to meet Local 40 representatives, offering training in roofing and waterproofing work. They provide paid apprenticeships, competitive wages, and robust benefits, paving the way to well-paid construction careers. Local 40 members in San Francisco earn union-negotiated wages ranging from $20 to $22 per hour for apprentices and $40 to $42 per hour for journey-level workers, along with comprehensive benefits.

We’re bringing career pathways directly to the community at 900 Innes Ave – Shipwrights Cottage Community Room.

December 11th: Allied Universal (Chase Center Events) will be onsite with open security roles starting around $23/hr plus a behind-the-scenes look at working at one of SF’s busiest venues. We’re also welcoming the City EMT Program, the first major step toward becoming an SF Firefighter (starting at $90,220/yr). A perfect session if you’re exploring public safety or emergency response careers.

December 18th: Mission Hiring Hall’s CAPSA Program is offering a FREE 18-week training track into construction administration, project coordination, and office support roles. Industry-led, CCSF-supported, and 100% free for SF residents!!
