We filed a lawsuit challenging the legality of Prop G because we believe the petition factually misleads voters in numerous ways. A judge ruled on our lawsuit today, describing the case as a tough, close call. Though he found that the Prop G text includes "overstatements", "hyperbole," and various assertions that are "factually debatable," he did not believe we met the high legal bar required in our case to prove that voters were factually misled.
We disagree with his ruling and rationale, and we'll evaluate an appeal when his formal ruling is released.
But here's the deal: the future of the coast is now up to voters. Prop G's backers refuse to admit that their measure would close and dismantle the park. We need your help ensuring that San Franciscans know the truth. If they do, the future of Sunset Dunes is safe.
