Today, we gathered at Crissy Field for Reverse Tashlich—turning a beloved Jewish ritual into hands-on action for our local waterways. Together, we cleaned up our shoreline, learned about the impact of trash on the Bay and marine life, and started the new year with our hands in the work of tikkun olam—repairing our world. 🌊🗑️✨

Every piece of trash we removed was one less piece of pollution making its way into our waterways, and every person who showed up was a reminder that meaningful change starts with community.

A beautiful way to welcome 5787: reflecting on what we want to leave behind, and choosing what we want to repair. 💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us from Young Adult Emanu-El Community and to Repair the Sea for inspiring this global Jewish movement to care for our oceans and waterways.

☀️🚣 Calling all volunteers! We’re teaming up with Hamilton Families for a Summer Fun Day in San Francisco, and we need YOU to help make it happen.

Kids in the Children’s Services program will spend the morning boating, a chance to just be kids, soak up summer, and make a memory that lasts. But days like this only work with enough helping hands (that’s where you come in! 👋)

We’re looking for 10 more volunteers to chaperone the field trip. Will you be there?

L’chaim to cleaner beaches 🌊💙

Last week, our Chai Tide Cleanup Crew came together at Ocean Beach to care for our coastline, connect with community, and leave the beach a little better than we found it. Thanks to everyone who showed and helped make an impact, one piece of trash at a time 💪🏻

This summer, we’re teaming up with Jewish Community Center of San Francisco Young Adult Emanu-El Community & SF Hillel Grad Students to help keep Ocean Beach clean in June, July & August while building community with fellow Bay Area young adults. ✨This Friday, we’re throwing it back to MLK Weekend last year with our amazing volunteers and stakeholders at Glide for their daily free meals program ✨

Together, we served lunch to Glide’s community members and honored Dr. King’s legacy through service and solidarity. This day was a powerful reminder that change happens when we show up for our neighbors with dignity, care, and community.
