Chinatown was alive this weekend!!!

From shoulder-to-shoulder crowds to record-breaking sales, the 2026 Flower Fair showed what happens when tradition, community, and small businesses come together. Even the rain couldn’t slow us down — umbrellas up, spirits high, lanterns glowing above Grant Avenue.

Long time Chinatown merchant, Nanny Yu, told us:
“Thank you for another successful Flower Fair. All my stores have broken the record of sales for the last two days.”

This is what recovery looks like.
This is what community looks like.
Onward in the Year of the Horse. 🐎🏮

President Donald Luu was delighted to join the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Party today-- a cross-cutural exchange event that included food as a bridge between the African American and Chinese community to support the economy in San Francisco's Chinatown. The event, called "One Family," with theme "Standing Together to Support Chinatown" to support a shared dream of unity, equality, and community was held at a Chinese restaurant with more than a century of history.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership.

A message from President Donald Luu--

Honored to congratulate Supervisor Alan Wong’s appointment. His work on Cantonese language access and the Lunar New Year recognition has been meaningful for many in our community. With District 4 entering an important year ahead, I appreciated the opportunity to recognize this moment and the clarity and stability this transition brings.
