Can your hairstyle teach you science? 🌧️

When Emelyn’s freshly straightened hair curls back up in the rain, one simple question sparks an entire classroom investigation: Was that a physical change or a chemical change?

Join Mr. Jones, Jaida, Da’Shawn, and Emelyn as they investigate physical and chemical properties, physical and chemical changes, and how matter changes at the particle level through a story students won’t forget.

🎉 The new CRSci Curriculum Hub is officially LIVE!

Everything science teachers loved about our free Learning Hub is still here. We’ve simply brought it together with our premium curriculum in one centralized platform, making it easier than ever to access engaging, classroom-ready science resources.

Our goal is simple: put high-quality, culturally relevant science instruction in the hands of every science teacher.

A special thank you to Fast Forward and Su Yuen Chin of MomoCentral for partnering to bring this platform to life, and Hai Nguyen, our Product Designer, for creating an intuitive, beautiful, teacher-centered experience.

This launch marks Phase 1, and we’re excited to continue building tools and resources that help science teachers engage more students.

These summer heat waves have been no joke. ☀️

So what happens when Jaida leaves her Vaseline in her backpack?

That’s how CRSci continues its brand-new Physical Science series.

Episode 2: States of Matter and Phase Changes uses a relatable classroom moment to teach students about solids, liquids, gases, plasma, particle motion, thermal energy, and phase changes.

This lesson helps students connect everyday experiences to the science behind them.

Summer CRSci STEM is underway!

This month, we partnered with the camps of 3D Girls, Inc. and Operation Level Up Leadership to expose students to careers and hands-on experiences in forensic science.

None of this would be possible without our incredible workshop facilitator, Kenedi Maddox. Thank you for leading the charge and inspiring the next generation of scientists! 🙌🏽
