As members of Giri Foundation team, we recently had the incredible opportunity to be part of something truly special at the Tawi Festival, hosted in the scenic city of Jammu. This event, a harmonious blend of creativity, inclusiveness, tradition, and modernity, offered us a unique platform to highlight the extraordinary efforts and achievements of Himalayan women—efforts that are at the very core of our mission.
The experience was made possible by the gracious invitation from Jyoti Gupta and the team at Amar Mahal Their commitment to creating a space that celebrates diversity and empowerment aligned perfectly with our goals, making this collaboration a memorable one. It was a festival that went beyond mere entertainment; it was a powerful statement on the importance of recognizing and supporting the untapped potential of women in the Himalayas.
Through the festival, we were able to share the stories of these remarkable women with a wider audience, showcasing their resilience, talent, and unyielding spirit. The spotlight on their achievements not only honored their journey but also served as an inspiration and a call to action for others to support their quest for empowerment and financial independence.
The warmth and support we received from Jyoti Gupta, Amar Mahal, and the festival attendees were overwhelming. It reinforced our belief in the power of community and collaboration in driving meaningful change. As we reflect on this experience, we are filled with gratitude and even more determined to continue our work, inspired by the strength and determination of the women we serve.
This moment at the Tawi Festival was not just an event in our calendar; it was a milestone in our journey towards creating a more inclusive and empowered future for Himalayan women. Here’s to more such collaborations that bring light to important causes and unite us in the pursuit of a better world.
