🎓✨ One Week. Countless Memories. Endless Possibilities. ✨🎓

As we prepare to celebrate the Mission Preparatory School Class of 2026, we are reflecting on an unforgettable first-ever Grad Week.

Over the course of the week, our 8th graders explored college campuses at San Francisco State University and UC Santa Cruz, celebrated their creativity through the 8th Grade Art Exhibit, enjoyed field trips to Stonestown, Six Flags, and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, competed in Staff vs. Student Games, decorated graduation caps, signed yearbooks, gathered for a Grad Picnic, and captured memories through culminating videos.

More than the activities themselves, Grad Week was about creating joyful, safe, and meaningful experiences for our students as they close one chapter and prepare for the next. It was an opportunity to celebrate friendships, perseverance, growth, and the community that has supported them throughout their Mission Prep journey.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Alondra, Director Cevallos, and every staff member who helped plan, organize, supervise, and bring this week to life. These experiences don't happen by accident. They happen because a dedicated team believes our students deserve opportunities to learn, celebrate, explore, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

To our Class of 2026: thank you for allowing us to be part of your story. We are proud of who you are, what you have accomplished, and who you are becoming.

At Mission Preparatory School, that commitment extends far beyond academics.

Today, our campus came alive with the sights, sounds, flavors, stories, and traditions of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

From students proudly sharing traditional attire and creating cultural artwork, to live performances, storytelling, and shared meals across grade levels, every experience invited our Prepsters to learn through curiosity, joy, and connection.

Because culture is more than something we read about.

It's something we experience.

It's something we celebrate.

It's something we learn from.

Watching our youngest Prepsters light up with wonder, our middle school students gather around tables filled with conversation and food, and our community come together in celebration was a powerful reminder that some of the best learning happens when students can see, hear, taste, create, and connect.

A special thank you to our incredible AAPI Committee—Ms. Sydni, Mrs. Gomez-Chen, and Giee—for designing a truly immersive experience for our school community. We are also grateful to our performers, volunteers, families, and community partners who helped make this day possible.

Today was more than a celebration. It was a reminder that honoring culture builds understanding, appreciation, and belonging—and that is essential to preparing students for the diverse world they will lead.

Chosen through a highly competitive national process, Director Cevallos joined educational leaders from across the country for a nine-month leadership academy focused on equity, excellence, and transformational leadership — culminating in a celebration ceremony in Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸

At MP, we believe investing in high-quality professional development means investing directly in our Prepsters and our future. Director Cevallos continues to model our PREP values through leadership, advocacy, engagement, and perseverance every day. 💛🧡

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible FEC (Family Engagement Committee) and Leadership Team for pouring so much love, joy, and care into appreciating our educators this week!

From surprise treats 🍕 to games 🎯, raffles 🎁, music 🎶, laughter 😂, and our very own undercover spirit week 😎… our staff felt celebrated every single day.

This week reminded us that Mission Preparatory School is more than a school — it’s a community that shows up for one another with heart, creativity, and anchored on our PREP values.

Our Prepsters showed OUT at the San Francisco Climate Action Youth Summit — and didn’t just attend… they WON awards! 🏆💫

The Climate Action Youth Summit celebrates young leaders who are taking bold steps to protect our planet — and our students represented Mission Prep with passion, creativity, and purpose. From innovative projects to powerful ideas rooted in community, they reminded us that youth voice is not the future… it’s RIGHT NOW.
