Kidney Cancer Association

Kidney Cancer Association The KCA is a global community dedicated to serving and empowering patients + caregivers, and leading change through advocacy, research, and education.

The Kidney Cancer Association was founded in 1990 by Eugene P. Schonfeld and a small group of patients and doctors in Chicago, Illinois and has grown into an international non-profit organization. The KCA promotes scientific advances through two annual research symposiums and a robust grant program, participates in legislative advocacy, and seeks to be a source of education and resources for patients, caregivers, and anyone impacted by kidney cancer.

Closing out Season 5 of Kidney Cancer Unfiltered with a deep dive into Men’s Mental Health. Masculinity and cancer can be a complicated mix, but emotional well-being isn't a gendered concept, it’s a human one.

Dennis Heffern and Marc Olivares join us to break down:
✨ Why "pushing through" can work against your healing
✨ Using a "strengths-based approach" to find your way back up
✨ How loved ones can better understand the unique way men express distress

If there is a man in your life who needs to hear this, send it to them.

$142,000 raised and we’re still going strong 🧡

What started as an $81K goal has grown into something even bigger thanks to this incredible community. With 21 teams and 169 participants showing up, moving with purpose, and making their 81 count, we’re officially setting our sights on the next milestone: $162K!!

Every walk, every mile, every minute, every share has helped bring us here. And with World Kidney Cancer Day on June 18 getting closer, there’s still time to be part of it.

Keep going if you’ve already started your 81. And if you haven’t yet, this is your sign to jump in.
