What does this day mean to you? Have you considered how God loves you?

Did you know that love in Greek is actually 4 different words? The love that is most often used to express God’s love for his children is Agape.

Agape - love: esp. brotherly love, charity; the love of God for person and of person for God”. Agape is used in ancient texts to denote feelings for one’s children and the feelings for a spouse. Agape is used by Christians to express the unconditional love of God for His children. This type of love was further explained by Thomas Aquinas (an Italian priest, philosopher and theologian) as “to will the good of another”.

This is the love you’re longing for. This is a love that truly wants to leave you known and understood.

If you’re already following Jesus today, know that you ARE loved. Regardless of how you’re spending today, your relationship status or how you might feel. You are deeply loved. And you get to invite others into this unconditional love.

Jesus spoke this to his followers saying:

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:34-35).

Don’t leave for tomorrow that which you can do today, especially homework! But if you are leaving your homework for tomorrow, might as well join us for a study session! 🤓

We’ll have an icebreaker, announcements and then have time to do some work together. So bring your laptop, something you are working on like homework, and/ or other tasks you need to catch up 💻📖📝
