Greenaction fights for health and environmental justice together with marginalized urban, rural, and Indigenous communities.

We fight for health and environmental justice by:
• HOLDING corporate polluters and governments ACCOUNTABLE on issues of health and environmental justice
• EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES with organizing, action, media assistance, technical and strategic expertise, and skills building programs for both youth and adults so they gain the knowledge to win victories
• TAKING nonviolent direct ACTION against polluters
• WORKING for pollution prevention, healthy jobs and safe technologies

Uranium mining, milling, trucking, processing, waste, and its use in the nuclear energy industry negatively impacts tribal lands and community health across the Southwest!

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day,

Greenaction stands in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples everywhere fighting for justice and protection of Mother Earth.

Join us in supporting the White Mesa Concerned Community (WMCC), in their fight against Energy Fuels uranium mill/dump by attending their Spiritual Walk and Protest this Friday, Oct. 17, at 11 am at the White Mesa Community Center.

This past year, we have been working closely with the Ah-Mut P**a Foundation and the Quechan Tribe on protecting our air quality in California! We expanded our community air quality network to reach the Quechan reservation and Winterhaven, CA. Check out new monitors reporting on www.ivan-imperial.org

Last week, they held an air quality and air monitoring training to educate participants about local community air monitoring efforts, air pollution, impacts to human health, and ways to take action!

Greenaction was proud to table at the 4th Annual BaySpark Youth Climate & Environmental Justice Summit, hosted by the Marie Harrison Community Foundation!

We connected with youth and community members to share information about our work fighting to clean up the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Superfund site and the ongoing fight for environmental justice and health in Bayview Hunters Point. We also shared the six community demands developed by Greenaction and the Marie Harrison Community Foundation following our latest Call to Action, including calls for health reparations, independent community-supervised testing, a full cleanup, and long-term investment in community health and safety.
