Nominations for GGSHP Election
Dear GGSHP Members,
It's that time of year again for our Golden Gate Chapter Elections. This year we are holding elections for positions: President elect, Secretary, and Delegates. Full officer descriptions are below.
As board members of this chapter, attendance as officers is vital and it should be expected that all elected officers be present for a majority of chapter meetings. Delegates are required to be able to attend the annual regional delegate conference (usually in Sept) and Seminar (October 26-October 29, 2017 in Las Vegas).

Per the Chapter’s Bylaws, here are descriptions for all the positions available during this year's election.
PRESIDENT-ELECT: The President-Elect shall be a member of the Board of Directors and perform the duties of the office of the President whenever the President shall be unable to do so. The President-Elect should begin to develop preliminary goals and objectives for the following year, shall be a member of the finance committee, shall coordinate the Residency Mixer and Night Out With Industry events, shall attend ≥75% of all CSHP Board of Directors meetings, shall attend Regional Chapter President meetings at CSHP Headquarters in the Presidents place when indicated and if the President is unable to attend, and shall also be a regional delegate to the CSHP House of Delegates meeting.

SECRETARY: The Secretary shall keep minutes of the meetings of the CSHP-GG, shall notify individuals of their appointments to committees, shall notify members of the time and place of all meetings, and shall conduct the correspondence of the Society through the CSHP-GG listserv. The Secretary shall send an electronic copy of the Board meeting minutes to its members, the CSHP Board liaison and CSHP office within 15 days following the meeting. The secretary should expect to attend all meetings or will be responsible to finding an able substitute. The secretary position will now be a 2-year term starting next year, 2017.

DELEGATE: Please note new terms starting in 2017: top half of delegates with the highest votes will be installed as a 2-year term and the second half will be a 1-year term.
Delegates to CSHP (as described in Article VIII, Section 1) shall serve as Elected Directors.
- The Delegates are responsible for remaining current on issues involving CSHP that may be presented at the CSHP House of Delegates and should know the feelings of the CSHP membership throughout the Board. The Delegates shall also attend both meetings of the CSHP House of Delegates and are required to attend ≥75% of all regional Chapter Board Meetings.
Please note that Delegates will have Chapter funding/support depending on the number of meetings they attend.
