Today is Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving from the heart. At Southwest Community Corporation (SWCC) we rely on supporters like you to come together and help us work toward keeping older adults and those living with disabilities active and engaged.
While many are experiencing hardships, we want you to know your donation, no matter the amount, is planted on good ground. With donations provided by SF Produce Market and other donors, we are currently still providing brown bags of healthy produce to at least 1000 community members monthly, and a contract from City and County of SF, Department of Adult Services, we are engaging at least 400+ older adults with activities.
1. Arts & crafts (drawing, painting)
2. Educational workshops (dementia, diabetes, nutrition education and health related topics)
3. Monthly senior luncheon w/ different topics (held 4th Friday of each month, 11am – 1pm)
4. Senior Empowerment (Older Adult Choir)
5. Wellness Clinics (vaccinations, mini health screenings, vision and hearing screenings)
