Long before his beatification, Sheen had a decades-long relationship with the Knights of Peter Claver, the nation’s largest historically African American Catholic fraternal organization. From supporting the Blessed Martin de Porres Hospital in Mobile to preaching at KPC’s national conventions, Sheen repeatedly joined the Knights in moments of faith, fellowship, and public witness.
