Introductions are in order! Meet our little friend Kazanami Duck!

He was adopted by the various Kazanami team members during their trip to the KOKUYOSA North American International Yosakoi Festival last September at an arcade in Canada. He currently has traveled from Calgary to Minnesota to San Francisco.

His goal? To wander the world in search of Yosakoi dance experiences!

He had a blast watching his friends dance in the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival and is off to a new adventure! Can you guess where he is going to turn up next?

Kazanami is sticking around New York as well this Saturday to dance in the ! 🗽

Be sure to check us out in the parade and stage performance! Kazanami will start its parade portion at 12:30pm. 🕚

We are starting off the weekend strong! Is it a crazy scene from the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? Yes! But we love it.

We hope to see you in Terminal 1 of SFO tomorrow to welcome the teams as they arrive whether it be by air or land. We are excited to share our passion for yosakoi in this first set of performances of the weekend!

Our next team comes from the East Coast. Traveling from the state known as "The Big Apple," meet !

"Yosakoi Dance Project – 10tecomai" from New York City  has been performing Yosakoi dance since their creation back in 2005.

Notable performances include the National Cherry Blossom Festivals in Washington DC, representing Japan at the Indiana State Fair, Kokuyosa 2025 in Lethbridge, Canada and many other events across the United States. As they continue past 20 years, their continuing mission is to spread knowledge of Yosakoi across the United States and abroad.

Join us in welcoming a brand new yosakoi team to the stage! is our newest team to join the Kazanami ranks.

Named for the nickname of its home state of Texas–the “Lone Star” state–Lone Star Yosakoi was formed in October of 2024. It consists of dancers from across the the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and seeks to cultivate and share the joy of yosakoi through its practices and performances.

📣 They are excited to make their debut performance at the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival this year! 🌸🥳🎉🌸

Give a round of applause for this small but mighty team and leave an encouraging message as they prepare for their very first public performance! 👏

The Kochi Yosakoi Ambassador KIZUNA International Team has dancers from over 20 different countries from all around the world. Through their efforts they hope to share the wonders of Yosakoi, Kochi, and Japan with others.
