A new Yale SOM study found that the five-star ratings on platforms like Uber and TaskRabbit can spread the effects of racial discrimination by displaying ratings from biased users to those who otherwise would not discriminate.

Driverless cars were always meant to be just the first step.

Now it's not only testing for driverless, autonomous trucks but for freight trains as well.

And their whole goal is to maximize profit while cutting good union jobs, with no regard for public safety.

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has approved 22 waivers allowing Genesee and Wyoming Railroad subsidiaries to test autonomous freight rail cars, despite warnings from the SMART-TD union about the safety risks. It's bad that this is protection we need, but we're so glad for this step to protect our fellow drivers in public transit.

Assaults on drivers have been on the rise for years and a MUNI driver was shot at just yesterday morning while on route.
