Nothing brings people together like good food, great music, and even better company!

We had an amazing time dancing, hanging out, and, of course, eating at our Annual 3rd Street Cookout! It was wonderful to see our team, young people, and families come together to relax, have fun, and enjoy each other’s company.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special, and a big thank you to Café Alma for providing the delicious food!

Residents from our Just Home program visited Economic Development on Third and connected with Executive Director Earl Shaddix to explore apprenticeship opportunities at Bayview Makers Kitchen and meet local merchants.

From baking and coffee roasting to screen printing and craftmaking, residents got a firsthand look at different skills, businesses, and career pathways right here in the Bayview. ☕🎨

A huge thank you to Earl Shaddix for taking the time to welcome our residents, introduce them to local merchants, and share more about the opportunities available in our community!

Dream. Create. Grow.

Residents at 3900 3rd Street recently participated in a vision board activity, creating space to reflect on their goals, aspirations, and the future they want to build.

Through creativity, conversation, and self-expression, residents explored their dreams while encouraging one another and sharing their unique visions for the future. Activities like these help foster confidence, connection, and a sense of possibility as young people continue working toward their personal, educational, and career goals.

At 3rd Street, we believe stable housing is just the beginning. We're committed to creating opportunities that empower young people to dream big, build community, and thrive.

The cost of living in San Francisco continues to put basic necessities out of reach for many youth and families. According to and the United Ways of California Real Cost Measure, more than 1 in 4 Bay Area households struggle to afford basic necessities, including housing, food, transportation, health care, and childcare.

That's why we're excited to share that our new Family Resource Center is opening soon—a welcoming space designed to help youth and families access everyday essentials when they need them most.

To prepare for opening day, we're asking our community to help us stock the shelves.

We're currently accepting donations of new or gently used:

🧸 Toys, books, and educational materials
🍼 Baby essentials (formula, bottles, diapers, wipes)
👕 Baby, children's, and maternity clothing
🧴 Baby care and feminine hygiene products
🎒 School supplies, backpacks, and everyday essentials
🛒 Gift cards for groceries, gas, and other necessities

📍 Drop-off Location: 1929 Market Street
📅 Monday–Thursday | 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Every donation helps create a welcoming, supportive space where youth and families can access the resources they need to thrive.
