3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic We provide housing, health & education services to youth aged 12-29 in SF’s Bayview HP & beyond. Appointments and drop-ins are accepted.

3rd Street Youth Center and Clinic's vision is to support the physical, mental, social health and well-being of Bayview Hunters Point youth so that they may become active, contributing members of San Francisco. We offer comprehensive health care including physical and sexual health through the clinic four days a week. Counseling services for both individuals and families are also offered both on-site and at local schools. Our staff is supportive and understanding, and committed to community based, culturally-competent services. The 3rd Street Youth Center and Clinic also offers programs for youth four days a week. In addition to classes in healthy eating, arts and poetry, videography and 3rd Street music productions, we also have a Youth Action Board and a Youth Outreach Squad.

3rd Street Youth Center and Clinic is a satellite clinic of Southeast Health Center and fiscally sponsored by Larkin Street Youth Services.

Congratulations to our 2025–26 Health Core Fellows! 🎉🎓

This Health Core cohort built professional skills, explored careers in community health, and gained hands-on experience along the way. As part of the fellowship, they participated in the Community Health Worker Program at City College of SF and received training in BLS, CPR and first aid, HIPAA, and Mental Health First Aid. They also gained real-world experience through mentorship, visits to local health agencies, community events like Sunday Streets, and summer internships.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for the next generation of community health leaders.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re proud to highlight the important work of Black Women Revolt Against Domestic Violence and their commitment to supporting survivors and families in our community.

Founded in San Francisco in 2020, Black Women Revolt provides culturally responsive support for women and families, including case management, legal assistance, safety planning, support groups, youth domestic violence prevention, and more. In 2021, the organization opened California’s first Black Women-centered Family Violence Resource Center.

Learning how to build and maintain healthy relationships is part of growing up, but knowing what’s healthy, what isn’t, and where to set boundaries isn’t always easy. That’s why, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, we’re helping young people recognize the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and know when it may be time to reach out for support.

Meet three of 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic Behavioral Health’s Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) trainees supporting young people across our community.

This year, Bri, Jayln, and Lolis will be working with young people at the TAY Navigation Center, 3900, and Willie Brown Middle School, bringing care, curiosity, and a deep commitment to creating spaces where young people feel heard, respected, and supported.

As they continue their clinical training, each trainee is helping bring 3rd Street’s values to life by building trust, honoring young people’s full experiences, and supporting their wellness in ways that are strengths-based, inclusive, and affirming.

Fall in San Francisco can bring plenty of sunshine and warm weather, so why not spend a Saturday out on the water? 🚣🏿‍♀️ 🌊

In partnership with Rocking the Boat San Francisco, we’re proud to support young people in Bayview-Hunters Point as they build boats alongside their peers, learn new skills, and get out on the water. Our team works directly with youth participants, providing support throughout the program.

This Saturday, October 10, Rocking the Boat is inviting the community to India Basin Waterfront Park with a goal of getting 100 people out on the water! Whether you’re a 9th or 10th grader interested in the program, a family member, friend, or community member, come out and see what Rocking the Boat is all about.

Please join us in welcoming Taylor Smith, ASW, PPSC, to 3rd Street’s Residential Behavioral Health team! Taylor is joining us as a Residential Clinical Social Worker, supporting young people at the TAY Navigation Center and Just Home sites.

Taylor aims to create a therapeutic environment where residents can relax, feel cared for, and show up as themselves. Her work centers on supporting young people as they explore their identities, connect with their bodies, move through big emotions, practice self-compassion, and strengthen their support systems.

🎃🎉 Our new Family Resource Center is officially opening, and we’re celebrating with a family-friendly Halloween event!

Bring the family for an afternoon of Halloween fun:

The celebration is also a chance to explore the new space and learn about resources available to young people and families, including housing support, food and diapers, clothing, prenatal and postpartum essentials, and more.

We’re grateful to the Anthem Blue Cross Foundation for investing in 3rd Street and our work to expand access to behavioral health services for young people in San Francisco.

This funding will support the development of an integrated behavioral health assessment and linkage system, helping connect youth and transition-age youth with mental health services and support when they need it.
