🎉 Children's Council Annual City Kids 2026 🎉
We are thrilled to congratulate the Children's Council on another successful Annual City Kids event held last Saturday! Over 1,500 children and their families joined in the fun, making it a day to remember.

This inspiring cohort brings together school leaders, city leaders, and CBO leaders, all united in our mission to support the needs and enhance the well-being and academic life of the SSF children and their families.

A Heartfelt Farewell and Warm Welcome

During this session, our beloved Kate Hiester announced her transition to a new chapter in her career, while still remaining in San Mateo County. Kate has been a cornerstone of this cohort, and we are deeply grateful for all her contributions to our success. Thank you, Kate! 💖

We are also delighted to welcome Sabrina Villaro, whom we have worked with at the Oral Health Program in San Mateo. Sabrina will be stepping into Kate’s role, continuing the city's representation, and advancing our wonderful plans for SSF. We are excited to see her leadership in action!

🎉 Exciting Event Recap: Magic Tooth Bus at the CCS and SVCF Fundraising Cohort! 🚐✨

This past August, the Magic Tooth Bus had the incredible opportunity to be part of a fantastic fundraising event hosted by the CCS Consulting and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) at the Sobrato Center. 🌟

The event was a wonderful gathering filled with passionate grantees, inspiring discussions, and a shared vision for community betterment.

Engaging Workshops: Attendees participated in insightful sessions on effective fundraising strategies and community engagement.

Networking Opportunities: A chance to connect with like-minded organizations and individuals dedicated to making a difference.

Community Impact: Discussions on how to amplify the impact of grants to support vital community services.

Smiles All Around at Coastside!

What a wonderful day at the Coastside Child Development Center! 🚌✨ The Magic Tooth Bus made a special visit to teach our little ones about oral health. Watching the kiddos light up as they learned to brush with our teeth models was such a joy! 😁🦷 And, of course, a big thank you to Dr. Kippy for making dental screenings fun and fear-free. Here's to happy, healthy smiles! 💙

We're upgrading our mobile dental truck — and we wanted you to hear the story straight from us.

Since 2020, our 40-foot truck has traveled from Bayview and Visitacion Valley to the Mission District and across the Bay Area, bringing dental care to families who needed it most. Magic Tooth Bus is replacing that truck with a smaller, more agile vehicle.
Here's the thinking behind it:

More streets reached. Our old truck couldn't fit into many of the neighborhoods and school lots that need us most. A smaller van can.

More care per dollar. We bought the truck secondhand in 2020, already 19 years old. Maintenance and fuel had become one of our biggest costs — money that can now go directly to patient visits instead.

Innovation. We're researching vehicles now, expect to acquire one by December, and plan to publicly launch the new vehicle in early 2027.

No gap in care. While our iconic mobile unit is evolving, our commitment to you remains unchanged. We already treat 9 out of 10 patients using portable equipment at schools and community sites. This means your scheduled visits continue seamlessly with the same expert team you know and rely on.

You may see our old truck listed for sale in the coming days — now you know the story behind it. It's the story of an organization getting stronger, so we can keep showing up for the families who count on us.

What an incredible time we had at the Dental Expo on August 21-22 at the Santa Clara Convention Center! 🦷✨

The expo was not just an opportunity for continuing education, but also a fantastic chance to strengthen our connections with dental partners, suppliers, and supporters. It's events like these that help us build new partnerships and friendships, which are vital for our growth and success in the dental community.

It was so nice seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. Every conversation was enriching, and every session sharpened our dental knowledge. Keeping up with the latest updates in the dental world is crucial, and this event certainly delivered on that front.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success! We look forward to more opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together in the future.

Yesterday, the Magic Tooth Bus had the pleasure of attending the Summer Gathering of Nonprofit & Philanthropic Leaders at the beautiful Sobrato Redwood Shores Center in Redwood City. 🌞

We were thrilled to connect with the foundation staff and nonprofit leaders in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. It was a morning filled with meaningful conversations and the wonderful opportunity to strengthen our community ties.

A huge thank you to Silicon Valley Community Foundation and everyone who stopped by and shared their stories and visions for the future. These connections are what keep us motivated and driven to continue our mission.

🎒 Magic Tooth Bus Adventure at Bayview! 🚍✨
This past Sunday, the Southeast Community Center in Bayview was buzzing with excitement! Us4Us nonprofit organization hosted their annual Backpack Give Back event, and it was a day to remember.
Congratulations to Uncle Damian, Dana, and the entire Us4Us team for organizing such an incredible day filled with fun, games, and exciting activities. Families connected, kids prepped for school, and smiles were everywhere!
The Magic Tooth Bus was thrilled to be part of this meaningful event. We loved seeing the community come together, sharing resources and creating unforgettable memories. Here’s to many more events that bring joy and support to our wonderful community! 💙

🦷 Dental Screening Day at Puma Cubs Footsteps Childcare! 🦷
What an incredible day at Puma Cubs Footsteps Childcare! A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful teachers, dedicated teacher aides, and supportive parents for helping make our dental screening event a success. Your enthusiasm and assistance were truly invaluable. 🌟

Our little ones were absolute stars—so sweet, cooperative, and full of fun! They enjoyed playing with the puppets and were wonderfully patient during their screenings. It's always a joy to see them learning and having fun. 🎈

Even the weather decided to join in on the fun, giving us a perfect day for this special event. ☀️

We are thrilled to share that the MTB team had the incredible opportunity to be guest speakers at the Family Connections event this month, focusing on the vital topic of "Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles." This community-based program is dedicated to supporting families and their children, and we were honored to be a part of it.
Connecting with teachers, students, parents, and guardians was truly rewarding.

It's always inspiring to see the community come together with a shared goal of promoting health and well-being!
