An unforgettable evening of music, art, wine, and connection at our latest Kobo Sessions. Centered on this year’s theme, Ma: The Space Between All Things, we gathered in an intimate setting to explore aesthetics through sound, improvisation, and shared experience.

Heartfelt thanks to Hosfelt Gallery for hosting us among the works of Emil Lukas, offering such a beautiful setting for the evening. Deep gratitude as well to Kanoko Nishi-Smith, Theresa Wong, and Haruka Fujii for their stunning interdisciplinary performance and collaboration.

Special thanks to Asian Wine Association of America, Mikami Vineyards, Kazumi Wines, Six Cloves Wines, and Yatai Japanese Food Catering for enriching the night with thoughtful conversations, exceptional wines, and a beautifully paired bento experience 🍷🍱

And finally, thank you to everyone who attended and shared the evening with us. Your presence made the experience of MA complete. Until next time at Kobo Sessions.

✨ Recap of an unforgettable, sold-out event: Kobo Sessions ✨

This edition, centered on MA: The Space Between All Things, brought together music, art, and culture in a beautiful gallery in Potrero Hill, the Hosfelt Gallery. Sonic Improvisation Trios — Kanoko Nishi-Smith (koto), Theresa Wong (cello/voice), and Haruka Fujii (percussion) shared their interpretation of MA, intertwining seamlessly with the evocative art exhibition of Emil Lukas.

It was our honor to welcome the Asian Wine Association of America, who introduced Mikami Vineyards, Kazumi Wines, and Six Cloves Wines, sharing their inspiring stories during our Winemakers Talk, accompanied by a wine-pairing bento box by Yatai Japanese Food Catering.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this celebration of the creative community with sound, art, and culture! 🌿🎶🍷

Meet Susan — a true multi-hyphenate whose path weaves seamlessly between wine and music ✨

Susan R Lin, Master of Wine, is President & Co-Founder of the Asian Wine Association of America and Head of Wine at Belmont Wine Exchange. With a background spanning tech, the performing arts, and classical piano, she creates immersive experiences that bring sound and wine into conversation.

Her passion for music and wine isn’t separate — it’s intertwined, shaping how she creates, curates, and connects. For Kobo Sessions, Susan embodies the spirit of the experience: where sound and taste meet, and where each moment is meant to be felt as much as it is heard. 🍷🎶
