A piece of wonderful news to share! ✨

Nippon Kobo has received a Community Arts grant from the Zellerbach Family Foundation!

As a young organization, this is a meaningful milestone for us — and our first major foundation grant since launching in fall 2024.

This support gives us so much encouragement to keep building, experimenting, and growing. Deep gratitude to the Zellerbach Family Foundation, and to everyone who has been part of this journey with us.

More to come. Onward! 🌱

A full-circle moment. ✨

At the Japan Society’s 40th Award of Honor Gala, Haruka and the Nippon Kobo Ensemble performed a piece from a Netflix film, Oni, bringing its story to life through music. Netflix was also among the evening’s award recipients, making the experience even more meaningful.

Now, that story continues in a very special way. A character from the film will be reimagined in a unique work of art created especially for Nippon Kobo by the film’s very own animator, Dice Tsutsumi.
This one-of-a-kind artwork will be featured in our silent auction, offering a rare opportunity to own a piece that brings together film, music, and art in support of our mission.

Be part of the story. Place your bid on this special artwork in our silent auction. ❤️
