Money is not enough. For the first time in 10 years, Natives Rising is expanding our mission: today, we're adding healing and well-being.
When I started Natives Rising 10 years ago, I believed economic empowerment was the most powerful way to help Indigenous communities.
But I've learned that money alone can make things worse, if we don't heal.
I've seen tribes tear each other apart over money, with an elder sent to the hospital. I've seen leaders hoard money for their own families while the community rots with drug abuse and child neglect.
Not every tribe is like this. But denying that lateral violence and trauma exist would be turning our back on the truth.
Money doesn't save people. It only amplifies who you already are.
Indigenous wealth is not money. It's relationships, with ourselves, with others, with the world. And until we heal, we will always be poor.
Intergenerational trauma is the echo of boarding schools, colonization, and genocide: lateral violence, addiction, su***de, anxiety, depression.
If we don't transform this pain, we pass it on to the next seven generations.
147 years ago, the first boarding school for Native Americans opened on November 1st, 1879, with exactly 147 students.
Today, I'm announcing our own school, the first School of Intergenerational Healing. On November 1st, 2026, we open with exactly 147 seats.
Every one of us has been affected, including me. It took years to speak this publicly. The only way I healed my own complex PTSD and chronic anxiety was investing in myself: over $100,000, becoming a certified hypnotherapist and coach, and combining the best modalities into one 4-step method I use every day. Now I'm sharing that method with you.
Join me November 1st for 10 years of healing packed into 3 days.
Help me take love back for the next seven generations. ๐ฑ
