This evening both the Tailor Made Program and the Youth Empowerment Fund Program received the 2026 Positive Force for Change Award from Bay Area Creative.

This award recognizes people and organizations who are creating real impact in our communities through creativity, leadership, and a genuine commitment to others.

Last week we had the opportunity to join other CAP’s throughout the state at the CalCAPA 2026 Advocacy Day.

Thanks to our CAA Board Chair, Aubrey Moore and CAA Board Vice Chair, Bryan Tran for helping to lead successful meetings with Senator Scott Weiner and Assemblymember Stephani’s Legislative Team.

We had the opportunity to attend the National Community Action Foundation Fly-In Day Conference, where we met with our members of California Congressional delegation.

During these meetings, we discussed the critical programs supported by the Urban Services Y - Community Action Agency programs that make a meaningful impact on individuals and families across the City and County of San Francisco.

These services, and the ongoing support from our delegation, are incredibly important. We are grateful for their time, engagement, and continued commitment to strengthening community action in both San Francisco and California as a whole.
