Thank you MMMBA for your openness, vision and inclusiveness in welcoming single-wheel personal electric vehicles to your state's mountain biking trails!

The Mid-Michigan Mountain Biking Association (MMMBA) understands that the popularity of e-bikes and single wheeled personal electric vehicles (One Wheels & Electric Unicycles) will continue to grow as will their use on motorized and non-motorized trails.

Our mission is to support trail users and we will continue to work with land owners/managers to ensure trails are accessible with land owner/manager direction. We will also continue to work with other stakeholders – users, sellers of Class 1 e-bikes and single wheeled personal electric vehicles – to keep local trails open and accommodating for all users. Education about trail etiquette for all trail users will continue to be an essential component to successful management and ensuring trail safety.

We support the use of Class 1 e-bikes and single wheeled personal electric vehicles on trails designated for ‘non-motorized’ access, when conducted through a public process with stakeholder engagement. The use of these vehicles has been recognized as beneficial to trail systems as their accepted use continues to grow.

*** BREAKING *** The International Trade Commission has heard your voice! The ITC has postponed their vote on instituting an investigation into the General Exclusion Order currently being sought against all major EUC manufacturers. The vote has been postponed until March 2, with the commission noting that "over 50 public interest comments have been filed... The Commission requires additional time to consider these submissions." You did it!

Also, this morning PEVRA submitted our Public Interest Comment to the International Trade Commission opposing a General Exclusion Order on electric unicycles in the United States, adding our voice in opposition to the GEO. Thank you EUC community! You showed up in force, and the Commission is listening. Individual riders, small businesses, content creators, riding groups — your voices matter. This is what advocacy looks like!

PEVRA will continue monitoring and fighting for the EUC community every step of the way. Keep going!

The ITC today approved PEVRA's motion seeking an extension of the time period for comment, yet rather inexplicably granted the extension just to PEVRA and not the general public. Though we regret the broader extension was not granted, PEVRA intends to maximize this opportunity to continue our fight for safety, legality and inclusion of EUC everywhere. Thank you all for the support and we look forward to sharing our comment and serving our members and community!

*** BREAKING *** PEVRA has filed a motion with the International Trade Commission to extend the time period for public comment on the complaint filed with the International Trade Commission by Inventist and Alien Rides seeking a General Exclusion Order against EUC in the United States. PEVRA has requested a 7-day extension of the public comment period on this complaint until February 10, 2026, to allow members of the community adequate time to voice their opinions and be heard in this crucial process. Currently the deadline stands as 5:15 p.m. EST Tuesday, Feb. 3. PEVRA strongly encourages all members of the worldwide EUC community to exercise their right to express themselves within this process and before the deadline at https://edis.usitc.gov/. PEVRA extends appreciation to Rob Fail for bringing this to the attention of the EUC community.
