Ballots start hitting mailboxes on October 5th, and the future of Muni, BART, and our public spaces is on the line. Here’s how to vote this November.

The Prop G campaign is using safe streets imagery to mislead voters. Sunset streets are safer now than before the park opened.

Destroying park amenities to allow for speeding traffic won’t make neighborhood streets any safer, but will create a new dangerous highway separating the beach from the neighborhood.

Before you vote, get the facts on Prop G and street safety in the Sunset.

Community Corners make our crosswalks safer and beautify neighborhoods at the same time!

State law AB 413 (one of Streets For All’s sponsored bills) requires cities to clear 20 feet before a crosswalk to make people crossing the street more visible to drivers, a concept known as daylighting.

San Francisco’s new Community Corners program allows neighbors to install planters and murals in these daylighting zones to prevent people from parking in the red zone and add beautification elements to a neighborhood. This means we can foster beautiful, community-driven projects that double as protected daylighting to keep everyone safe when crossing the street.

Check out this recent Community Corners installation in Bernal Heights, and learn more about the program at communitycorner.fun!

It’s been one year since the Mayor announced changes to car-free Market Street. So what have we learned?

🚲 Bike traffic is up 25% from last year — demand for safer, people-centered streets is real.
🚗 But loopholes remain: Waymo, Uber, and Lyft Black trips are rare, yet private vehicles are increasingly misusing loading bays, double-parking, and pushing cyclists into bus lanes.

We were proud to testify that the answer isn’t to backtrack. Instead, it’s to build on what’s working. Our asks:
→ Close the commercial passenger vehicle loophole
→ Harden and protect the quick-build infrastructure
→ Test transit vehicles in center lanes to free up the curb
→ Re-evaluate separated bike infrastructure between 8th & Steuart
→ Invest in placemaking to make Market a corridor people want to be on

Thank you to our partners in the Keep Market Street Moving coalition: . Special appreciation to Supervisor for convening the hearing.

Market Street can be vibrant AND safe. We’ll keep fighting for both. Stay tuned for next steps.
