What if you could explore the ocean mysteries in depth?

At our Nature & Oceans Academy, we invite you to step closer. To feel the salt on your skin, to observe what lives beneath the surface, and to discover how every wave, every current, and every species is connected.

But this isn’t just learning, it’s real science in action.
Our programs are built on actual scientific data collected alongside our partner organizations working to protect endangered species and fragile ecosystems. What you experience is not theory, it’s the reality of ocean conservation happening right now.

This isn’t just about activities, it’s about awakening curiosity. Learning by doing. Building confidence in the water while gaining a deeper respect for the natural world.

Because when you understand the ocean, you don’t just enjoy it… you protect it.

Join us on a journey that stays with you long after you leave the shore.

🌊 Nature and Oceans Adventures at UNOC Nice

We were proud to attend the UN Ocean Conference 2025 in Nice, where the global community came together to stand up for our ocean.

šŸ”¬ Science at the core: 2,500 scientists at the One Ocean Science Congress delivered 10 key recommendations to world leaders — including a moratorium on deep-sea mining, a call for increased funding for ocean research, and the protection of 30% of the ocean by 2030.

šŸŒ High Seas Treaty: 51 countries have now ratified this historic treaty, with over 60 expected by September. This paves the way for the first-ever Ocean COP in 2026.

🐟 Illegal fishing: 103 nations have ratified the WTO agreement against harmful fishing subsidies. Urgent action is still needed in key areas like French Guiana.

🌐 Deep-sea mining: 37 countries have voiced strong opposition to mining the ocean’s most fragile and unexplored ecosystems.

🧓 Plastic pollution: 95 countries signed the Nice Call for a Global Treaty on Plastic, ahead of the final negotiation session this August in Geneva.

🌊 At NOA, we believe in science-based action and global cooperation to protect our blue planet. This conference was a powerful reminder that change is a must. We have to unite forces for the oceans and all life that sustains and we are deeply connected.

One of the highlights of UNOC in Nice was to listen the elders of Tonga and other Pacific islands. The main message I received is their love to the ocean and the whales.

We've forgotten that we are not separate from nature, but one with it. What we do to the ocean, we do to ourselves. And right now, our oceans are suffering.

For Indigenous Polynesians, the whale is more than a creature of the sea — it is a sacred ancestor, kin, a guardian of ocean health, a majestic being. Its song carries the memory of balance.

The excessive consumption, production, human activity, noise and overfishing is suffocating the ocean. The whales are singing to us, to feel, to remember, to reconnect, and to return to synergy.
They are building legal and financial mechanisms that value them not as a resource to be exploited, but as a vital living being worthy of protection. A being whose worth is far greater alive and thriving than dying for profit.

The legal panel with Indigenous leaders shared the groundbreaking work behind the movement to recognise whales as legal persons.

Moananui Sanctuary is building an interconnected network of ocean sanctuaries to protect whales along their entire migratory paths.

Change Now was an incredible experience! So many inspirational speakers, brilliant sustainable new ideas, many poweful new connections and mich more that inspire me soo much!!!

Here aome words pf Paul Watson from his workshop:

" I think the reason that we're in the situation we are right now is our outlook on reality for thousands of years. our point of view has been anthropocentric What that means is it's all about us. We're the most important species. We're the only species that matter. It was all created just for us, and as long as we continue to believe that we're not going to survive. We need to adapt. A biocentric point of view which indigenous people all around the world understand is that we're connected with everything
else. We have to live in harmony with all other species, and if we don't do that we're simply not going to survive. We cannot survive on this planet alone. There are other species on this planet more important than we are. Imagine living in a world without bees, a world without worms, a world without microbes, a world without trees and many more. If not for them we couldn't exist. They would do very well without us but we would not do very well without them. Ecologically they're far more important than we are and we have to humble ourselves to understand that that is a real reality on this" Paul Watson
