For children in Kyiv, an ordinary school day can be interrupted by an air raid alert at any moment.

During a return to her hometown, Striving For All Co-Founder Olena Baykur visited a public school where SFA completed a bomb shelter and helped establish a smart classroom.

Inside the shelter, paintings created by students and messages such as “Never give up” bring color and courage into a space made necessary by war. Donated laptops help children remain connected to learning and continue preparing for their futures.

A shelter cannot end a war, but it can help keep children safer. A laptop cannot remove fear, but it can keep education within reach.

💙 Creating opportunity begins by listening to young people.

Every conversation has the power to inspire a brighter future.

During a recent visit to our Thrive Center in Douala, Cameroon, our Founder, Genevieve Ngambia, met with students, instructors, volunteers, and staff. Students asked thoughtful questions, shared their aspirations, and joined an open conversation about education, leadership, and the opportunities ahead of them.

We were also pleased to welcome long-time Striving For All supporters Paul Kenfack and Landry Ngambia, who spent time engaging with our students and local team. Their presence reflected the broader community of supporters who continue to believe in our mission and the potential of the young people we serve.

Since opening in June 2023, the Thrive Center has trained more than 625 young people through programs in technology, artificial intelligence, digital literacy, environmental stewardship, and career readiness, including more than 300 girls and young women who have participated in our Girls in Tech initiative.

Every student, every conversation, and every opportunity reminds us that lasting change happens when communities come together to invest in the next generation.

A summer of learning begins for 165 young people in Douala, Cameroon!

Our 2026 Summer Program is officially underway at the Thrive Center in Douala, Cameroon, welcoming 165 students for a new season of learning and growth.

Since opening in June 2023, the Thrive Center has become a hub for accessible, future-focused education. This sixth program session reflects our continued commitment to providing free, high-quality education that helps young people build skills in technology, digital literacy, English communication, entrepreneurship, career readiness, and more.

We were also delighted to welcome many parents to our launch ceremony. Their enthusiasm and support remind us that transforming lives begins with families and communities working together.
