The BEO Art + Design Contest is open — and we want to see Basque music through your eyes. 👀

This year's theme: Basque music rooted in classical traditions, interpreted through your lens. 🎶Think sound, feeling, memory, identity, movement. Abstract or representational — there's no single right answer, just a strong point of view.

The winning piece will live on BEO merchandise and become part of our Basque Cultural Day celebration on September 26th!

In 2023, we made a promise that we would make every effort to continue to highlight the impact of women in our Basque communities. As such, we are entering our third edition of The Impact of Women in Basque Communities | A collection of pictures and words.

We are beginning to accept entries now and are offering two things: 1. An early-bird discount - the earlier you get this in, the better, 🙌and 2. We will help you write your story for a nominal fee.🥰

Working on an artistic endeavor and need some financial help? Let’s talk!

A Creator is…an expressive individual who uses any medium within the performing, visual, and literary arts to broaden our understanding of the world around us.

A Creator will…allow us to learn about our culture, traditions, and experiences.

This is not exclusive to traditional art expressions such as dancers, painters, and book authors. We’re talking about ALL creatives: bertsolaris, musicians, opera performers, theater performers/designers/writers, chefs, photographers, filmmakers, architects, poets, journalists, etc.
The individual is someone who strengthens the Basque identity through their work and builds a connection between everyone else and the Basques.
