Hunnicutt Foundation

Hunnicutt Foundation We are interested in meaningfully impacting upon the community and eliminating “real” issues that impede the forward movement and success of individuals.

The Hunnicutt Foundation worldview involves reaching all audiences, regardless of who they are, with the truth. The truth is that we are all made in the image of God. We are unique in that we have been given many gifts by God, and we are to use these gifts for ourselves and our families but, most importantly, to benefit all humankind. When a person does not opt to use his/her gifts, he or she has

failed to make a decision to develop these gifts for the betterment of society. This is tragic but happens. People have the power to resolve the issues of society, but they must use their gifts in a collaborative and creative way to find solutions. They must share their ideas, communicate with each other, negotiate and compromise, and arrive at meaningful solutions to end poverty, pain, abuse, and the other things which hold humans down. In the end, people must ACT---prayerfully and deliberately to resolve our issues, trusting in God every step of the way. In essence, WE are WE. We are interested in youth and adults thinking critically, transforming their lives appropriately, and acting in life with passion and with purpose. This should be a dominant theme on the website. A YES YOU CAN AND MUST approach to life. We would also like the students and adults to understand that they must have breakdowns before they can have breakthroughs. Life is going to be problematic, but you will have the tools to transcend these difficulties if you get the instruction that we, at HG, Inc. offer if you read the Bible and if you make the right choices in life. When you make mistakes, as we all do, you need to get up and start again. We need to leave the past in the past, not live our lives through the lens of the past, embrace the present, and welcome and develop the myriad of possibilities that exist in their futures. We envision empowering individuals in San Francisco to begin to recognize and believe in our own abilities, think critically to make wise and healthy choices, continue our education, succeed in our chosen career path, and make an impact in our community in a positive way.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the lives of the courageous service members who gave everything in service to our nation. Their sacrifice reminds us of the true meaning of courage, unity, and freedom. Today and every day, we remember those who are no longer with us and stand with the families and communities who carry their legacy forward. 🇺🇸

On this Mother’s Day, we thank God for every woman and caregiver who has nurtured, protected, prayed for, guided, and poured love into the lives of children and families. To mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, guardians, aunties, mentors, foster moms, and every person who has answered the call to care for others — your love is a reflection of grace, compassion, strength, and purpose.

May God continue to bless your hands for the work you do, your heart for the sacrifices you make, and your spirit for the light you bring into the lives of others. Even on the difficult days, your prayers, wisdom, and presence leave a lasting impact that reaches generations beyond what you may ever see.

Today, we honor you, celebrate you, and pray that you are surrounded with peace, joy, restoration, and unconditional love. Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful souls who mother through faith, love, and service. 💐🙏🏾

The Hunnicutt Foundation honors the life, leadership, and legacy of Jesse Jackson — a visionary who expanded the meaning of justice, political power, and collective responsibility in America. Rev. Jackson reminded us that civil rights must include economic rights, voting rights, education, healthcare, and access to opportunity. Through the founding of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, he built bridges across race, class, and geography — advancing a movement grounded in dignity, faith, and fearless advocacy. At The Hunnicutt Foundation, we are deeply aligned with his belief that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are leaders right now. Rev. Jackson consistently opened doors for emerging voices, challenged systems that excluded communities of color, and pushed institutions to honor their commitments. His life was a testament to courage in action — organizing in the streets, negotiating at the table, and speaking truth in rooms where silence was expected. As we reflect on his passing, we recommit ourselves to the work he modeled so powerfully:

• Building pathways to leadership

• Strengthening community voice

• Expanding economic opportunity

• Advancing equity with boldness and faith

We honor Rev. Jackson not only in memory, but in movement. Rest in power. The work continues.

This Black History Month, The Hunnicutt Foundation honors the strength, brilliance, and legacy of Black leaders, families, and communities whose work continues to shape San Francisco and the world.

For us, Black History Month is not only a reflection of the past—it is a celebration of the living legacy carried forward every day by the students, parents, educators, elders, and community champions we serve. We recognize the generations who paved the way with courage and purpose, and we uplift the young people who are writing the next chapters of Black excellence through their creativity, leadership, and resilience.

At The Hunnicutt Foundation, we are proud to provide spaces where Black youth and families can feel seen, supported, and empowered. Through our programs, we continue our commitment to culturally grounded education, healing-centered engagement, and leadership development rooted in community wisdom.

This month and every month, we honor the stories, struggles, joys, and genius that define Black history. We carry this legacy forward by investing in the next generation of thinkers, creators, advocates, and healers.

We celebrate Black history.
We uplift Black voices.
And we remain committed to building a future worthy of the ancestors—and worthy of our children.

Today, we honor the life, legacy, and unshakable courage of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
A man who not only dreamed of justice, but demanded it. A leader who showed us that love is a force for transformation—and that silence is never an option when people are suffering.

As we pause to reflect, may we remember that Dr. King’s work was never meant to be celebrated only in memory, but continued through action. His call for justice, unity, and moral leadership still speaks to every challenge we face today.

Let this day remind us that:
✨ Progress requires persistence
✨ Equity requires courage
✨ Community requires all of us

May we step into this week committed to being better neighbors, stronger advocates, and bolder leaders—guided by the belief that each of us has the power to shape a more just world.

“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” — Dr. King

Let us serve with intention, lead with compassion, and keep moving toward the dream—together.

This Christmas, we pause to give thanks for the gift of Christ, whose love reminds us to serve one another with humility, grace, and compassion. As a community, family, and circle of friends, may we continue to lift each other up, stand together in faith, and be a light in one another’s lives. Let this season renew our spirits, strengthen our bonds, and inspire us to love beyond ourselves. May peace fill our hearts, hope guide our steps, and God’s blessings rest upon every home. Wishing you a Christmas filled with faith, fellowship, and the joy of knowing we are stronger together. Merry Christmas. 🎄🙏
