Congratulations to the completion of our very first 8 month Reflective Supervision Collaborative, which was both regional across counties and multidisciplinary across multiple child serving systems. The collaborative included monthly didactics and mentoring groups; activities, assignments and lots of discussion--and was the first of its kind! You are awesome Northern CA partners, and many thanks to our national faculty for your wisdom.

Like most aspects of development, there is a wide variation among children when it comes to acting out aggressively. Children who are intense and “big reactors” tend to have a more difficult time managing their emotions than children who are by nature more easygoing. Big reactors rely more heavily on using their actions to communicate their strong feelings.

The mission of Piplo Productions is to help children and families connect and recover after stressful or traumatic events by using story, clinical psychology, and cute characters. We believe this to be so aligned with an early childhood mental health approach that we wanted to make sure you had access to these wonderful and meaningful stories for your work. Chandra Ghosh Ippen Ph.D., who many of you have met in The Ripple Effect training, has done a masterful job of finding ways to talk with young children about difficult topics with her stories and characters. Please take advantage of their generous “free on the first” offer today (March 1) to download some of these books. Find out more below!

Books from Piplo Productions are free on Amazon Kindle on the 1st of every month.
