We're delighted to see Federal action that recognizes unique importance of our old-growth and mature forests! These forests are richly biodiverse, essential to carbon capture, and magnificent to explore.

We are particularly excited by this order's emphasis on community input and Indigenous land practices and hope it provides a foundation for much more climate action and investment to come.

Just Health 510 is a nonprofit community dental clinic in Oakland, California dedicated to serving those in need. They offer free dental care to formerly incarcerated people. They are looking to hire several positions ASAP and are able to train people for the front desk position.

Blown away by the perspective and writing of junior high school student Lindsey - who writes on the importance of Climate Corps offering living wage opportunities for training and working in conservation and climate justice.

"The polluters destroying the planet don’t want us to have access to good green jobs because it competes with their labor market, and they profit from pollution and the harm it causes. It is up to adults who care to make sure we come of age in a world that values labor that protects our planet."

The Alameda County Youth Advisory Council is looking for 17-25 year olds for paid work to develop a plan to make system changes. Eligible young adults must fill out the application form to be considered for a position. This is a great opportunity to learn how to advocate for policies that impact youth in Alameda County and to have your voice heard and impact policy. Applicants have until tomorrow to fill this out so time is of the essence.
