As February unfolds, we're reminded of the extraordinary journey of resilience, courage, and triumph that marks Black History Month. This month, we honor the remarkable contributions of Black individuals throughout history, whose stories inspire us to strive for equity, justice, and access to education for all.

Booker T. Washington once beautifully articulated the transformative power of education when he remarked, "The picture of several dozen boys and girls in a schoolroom engaged in study made a deep impression upon me, and I had the feeling that to get into a schoolhouse and study in this way would be about the same as getting into paradise." These words resonate deeply with the mission of the Learning Origin Fund (OLF), where we believe that educational opportunities are pathways to empowerment and liberation. 🎓🌟

In celebrating Black History Month, let us reflect on the profound significance of education in the Black community's journey towards freedom and equality. We're thrilled to share the heartwarming success of our recent Days of Wonder (DOW) Facebook Live Event in La Guajira, Colombia! The event was a true celebration of Christmas wonder, bringing joy to the local community.

Today, on World Children's Day, we face crucial challenges to ensure access to education and protect the rights of children. The lack of access to education affects millions of children, and poverty along with other crises also threatens their well-being. At this critical moment, let's unite as unwavering advocates for children's rights.

At Fundación El Origen and O-Lab App , we are transforming the future of children by providing access to quality education through the O-Lab App. The number of children and young people not enrolled in school worldwide has increased by six million since 2021. Our mission is to empower every child to reach their full potential through education. Join us on this journey towards a brighter educational future. 🧡

To celebrate STEM day today, we would like to sincerely thank F5 who awarded our organisation with the STEM EDUCATION AWARD a year ago. 🤗

Also thanks to this generous support over 60% of our beneficiaries in STEM programmes with our O-Lab technology are girls and women of colour, Afro-descendants or indigenous in Colombia.

In this year with O-Lab they have learnt key STEM skills while building vocational projects to solve community problems in vulnerable areas. From solar panels to irrigation systems, water filters to natural fertilisers and many more.

Join O-Lab in spreading quality inclusive STEM education to more and more vulnerable girls and women around the world! 🧡
