The mission of this project is to aggregate the prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, and topical creams used to manage the eczema of people around the world.

Research has shown that many people experience environmental triggers to their eczema. Through the use of google data studio, we are looking to:

Find common environmental eczema triggers around the globe, and determine the most common solutions to these flare ups

Determine how skin type (i.e. dry, oily, combination skin types) plays a role in this discovery

Provide participants with ample information on the treatment options available to them to help manage their eczema

From the responses so far, we are seeing that:

About one third of the respondents are prescribed Triamcinolone. The next most popular prescription drug is Tacrolimus, which is a non-steroid ointment

The most popular over the counter body lotions are Eucerin and Cerave

We would love to learn about how you manage your eczema, and your contribution to this project can be very helpful for someone struggling to manage their eczema. As we collect more information, we can better understand what combination of treatments people are using to manage their eczema, and help you find what works best.

For those reading news on J&J and blood clotting issues, this is the power of patient journey by understanding what others have went through. I would like to share this reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/mpzye6/us_calls_for_pause_on_johnson_johnson_vaccine/

Some have noted that the ones with adverse effects were women of child-birthing age. So there could have been situations with unintended side effects from birth control and the vaccine.

Unfortunately, clinical trial data is limited and are mostly white males. This is the power of scraping social media data to gather enough information and let the patients make their own informed decisions.

This is an example of how powerful OpenPHR can be. We will be able to understand what other patients are trying around the world and understand the outcomes. Medicine is an art and not a science that continues to change.

We need to come together and start to aggregate all of the information and synthesizing it so the patient community can be informed.

The results of the Phase 1 study, led by a researcher at NYU Langone Health and its Perlmutter Cancer Center, were announced on Friday, adding to the growing body of research into oncolytic viruses.
