"Crime is not rising, much less soaring or out of control, since Boudin took office. . .And the recall supporters can’t dispute any of this—all they can say is that people “feel” unsafe, which is a Trumpian way of saying that facts and truth don’t matter."

Boudin is charging cases at the same rate as other local DAs. He has increased prosecutions of sexual assault cases. But the "balanced" Chron misses the point.

Jamal Trulove denounces efforts to obstruct what San Francisco voters demanded in the 2019 election of Chesa Boudin: massive change to our legal system.

"San Franciscans believed in his goals to end the criminalization of poverty, hold police accountable and focus on solutions that actually help victims and address the root causes of crime, like investing in trauma support and treatment."

Jamal Trulove describes the heavily-funded smear campaign launched by the police union and wealthy, power-wielding elite designed to maintain the status quo of white supremacy and injustice by petitioning recall of elected SF District Attorney Chesa Boudin.

The Washington Post has finally done what San Francisco news media, by and large, have failed to do: Explain that much of the media narrative about District Attorney Chesa Boudin is not only biased but factually wrong.

The inaccurate reporting and social media just continues, as most of the major local media stands by or goes along.

Said Lateef Gray: “DA Boudin is probably one of the few DAs I would even think about jumping ship and doing what I’m doing for.”
