Siksha Foundation is a 501(c)3 dedicated to rebuilding schools for the world's neediest children

There is a great need for financial assistance in third world countries; many children experience severe conditions being in the poverty stricken city slums. With the assistance of Siksha Foundation, a US based fund raising foundation, there we can offer a significant contribution made to the quality of children's lives. In America, we take certain amenities for granted; many impoverished Indians

have no feasible access to clean water, fresh clothes, food, and more importantly, education. Siksha Foundation is committed to taking small steps that make a big difference to children and their futures.

Exciting Update!

We've added a few new activities at both our boys' and girls' hostels in Navsari, India. One activity pictured here is "Lezim practice." Lezim, or (Lajhim), is a vibrant, high-energy folk dance from the state of Maharashtra, India. The dance features swift, synchronized movements and is prominent in cultural celebrations, sporting events, presentations, or fairs. It was great to see the excitement as the students practiced for an upcoming event.

At Siksha Foundation, our Chairman of the Board and CEO, Henry Desai, believes that meaningful change begins on the ground. Whether attending school handovers, breaking ground on future projects, visiting communities, or helping establish new computer labs, Henry and his wife, Purnima, have spent their recent trip working alongside local leaders to ensure every project creates lasting impact.

Over the course of their visit, they celebrated the completion of multiple school projects, participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for future developments, visited prospective project sites, and saw two new computer labs become fully operational and expanding access to technology and digital learning for students.

Reflecting on the trip, Henry shared:

“It has been incredibly rewarding to see the appreciation shown by the schools, local communities, and government officials for the support provided. While we are returning home, the work will continue, and we look forward to seeing the progress over the coming months.”

This dedication is what drives Siksha Foundation forward. Every visit strengthens partnerships, every conversation helps shape future projects, and every completed initiative brings us one step closer to expanding educational opportunities for children and communities around the world.

Our computer lab project has been completed.

After much time preparing the space, organizing equipment, installing security features, and getting everything ready for students, the lab is fully operational.

This computer lab will provide students with access to technology, digital literacy, and new educational opportunities that will help prepare them for the future.

It’s exciting to watch this vision come to life, and we can’t wait to see the impact it will have on the students and the community. A special thank you to our team and the community for your help!

Moments like these remind us why we do this work.

The official handover of MUSASE Community School was more than the completion of a project—it was a celebration of hope, partnership, and opportunity.

Seeing students, parents, teachers, and community leaders come together with so much joy and appreciation reminds us that education has the power to transform lives and strengthen entire communities.

We’re also excited that the school received two laptop computers to help support daily operations and learning opportunities for students and staff.

To every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter: thank you. Your generosity has helped create a lasting impact, and this milestone belongs to all of us.

Together with Manu Foundation and V & S Foundation, we look forward to continuing our mission of expanding educational opportunities across Zambia—one community at a time.

Progress is taking shape in Ndola, Zambia!

Our Chairman of the Board, Henry Desai, has spent the past several weeks on the ground in Ndola overseeing project development, meeting with community leaders, and monitoring construction progress firsthand.

Despite long days and soaring temperatures, Henry is pleased to report that work is progressing exceptionally well—and even ahead of schedule, a milestone that's rarely achieved on projects of this scale.

These accomplishments would not be possible without the support of our dedicated partners, donors, contractors, volunteers, and community leaders. Your generosity and commitment continue to help transform lives and create lasting opportunities for the communities we serve.

We are breaking ground at Suburbs Girls Secondary School!

Siksha Foundation is proud to partner with the Manu Neethi Foundation and V&S Foundation on an exciting multi-phase campus expansion.

What’s included:

💚6 new classroom blocks & ablution facilities

💚Campus landscaping and site works

💚Dedicated Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories

We kicked things off at the end of May with ground clearing and site measurements. Stay tuned for construction updates as we build a brighter future for these students!

When planning new construction projects, we prioritize eco-friendly designs. We integrate solar technology whenever and wherever it is physically and financially possible. Because conditions vary, we implement these green solutions on a project-by-project basis to maximize environmental and community benefits.

Progress continues at Buyantashi Community School as work on the bathroom facilities moves forward.

Access to clean, safe, and functional restrooms is an essential part of creating a healthy learning environment. These improvements will help support student well-being, promote proper hygiene, and provide the dignity every child deserves.

We’re excited to see this project taking shape and look forward to sharing more updates as construction continues.
