ASA’rs,

ASA is very aware and concerned about today’s temperature, so after a discussion of the Board of Directors, we have decided to CANCEL today’s practice.

Safety is our number one concern for our players and families. And we don’t want our returning and new players to start out this season with a negative by being is an extreme heat situation.

We will see everyone next Sunday…

Time to strap on your cleats (& shin guards) and get ready for some ASA Soccer!!

We have our first practice is this Sunday 23rd, at 12:30 for P*e Wee Division, 2:00 for Minors & Majors Divisions and 3:30 for Juniors Division. Second practice will be next Sunday August 30th, same times for each division.

Practices will be at the home of ASA, Wheeler Ave Park (1499 Palomares Ave, La Verne)

Players should wear comfortable clothes for practices, cleats are preferred, tennis shoes are ok, no open toe shoes or Crocks. Make sure to bring water for your player. Shin guards are recommended for all soccer players.

Please be sure to check in at the table for your field assignment, all players need to check in at table.

Important note: If player has not attended one of the first two practices, uniform will not be ordered unless parents verify players participation. (That why it is important to check in at the first two practices)

Season schedule will be sent out next week with practice game, regular season games and picture day information. (NOTE: picture day is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, times and location will be on schedule)

Also, please remember that with new plays and some returning players, there's allot of activity for them, so over-stimulation may happen, please allow the coach or volunteer to try and get them focused, but if they need you to take them off the field and calm them down, please get them back on the field asap, this will help them get refocused and enjoy themselves...

Practices will be at the home of ASA, Wheeler Ave Park (1499 Palomares Ave, La Verne)

REGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT, SUNDAY, AUGUST 16, 2026
It’s that time of year when we strap on our Soccer cleats!! Registration for Soccer is now open!! Registration closes on Sunday, August 16th.

Soccer is designed for low to high functioning children ages 4 to 18. Games are an hour long with modified rules to benefit the number of players and ability level.

Soccer players ages 4 to 6 practice at 12:30
Soccer players ages 7 to 12 practice at 2:00
Soccer players ages 13 to 18 And all football players practice at 3:30
There will be three practices (8/23, 8/30 & 9/13 – we are off on 9/6), regular season games will start on Sunday, September 20th, with picture day scheduled for Saturday, September 19th.

Regular season opens on September 20th, with a brief opening ceremony prior to the games. We will conclude our season on Oct 25th, with the Turkey bowls games (Varsity Parents vs Players...players want to keep that Soccer Turkey bowl championship, and Parents want to keep the Football Turkey bowl championship!!)

All practices and regular season games will be played at Wheeler Ave Park, (1499 Palomares Ave, La Verne).

NOTE: There are no other practices after regular season games start, ASA recommends parents practice with players at home.
