Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Assoc. - PPOA

Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Assoc. - PPOA Established 1951. Proudly representing more than 8,000+ active & retired L.A. County law enforcement at the Hall of Justice for an urgent discussion.

In December 1951, a small but steadfast group of deputy sheriffs, county marshals and district attorney investigators gathered in downtown L.A. With a commitment to band together to protect their rights and improve their careers, they formed PPOA. Their association swiftly become one of the state’s largest and most influential law enforcement unions. From legislation to contract negotiations to la

bor representation, generations of PPOA members have benefitted from the determined work of their union brethren and a proven record of success.
