Ethiopia is welcoming in the year 2019 🎉 Ethiopia runs on an ancient 13 month calendar that runs 7-8 years behind the Gregorian calendar. Today marks the end of the rainy season and arrival of spring! 🌼

It is with deep sadness and anger that we share this.

Our children are everything to us. When they leave our doors each day, we know the realities many of them face. We know that the safety and comfort they feel with us may not always follow them home. And we do everything we can to protect them.

Nothing hurts us more than knowing one of our children is hurting.

War. Poverty. Abuse. Loss. These are realities far too many of our children face far too young.

We cannot shield them from every hardship, but we can stand beside them through it. We can listen. We can protect. We can provide a safe place to come back to. And when something is wrong, we can speak up and take action.

Thank you to all of those who stand with us. We can’t do this without you. 🙏🏽

We had good meeting with BCK parents. It was the rainy day but 53 parents attended the meeting. We discussed about our services, child safety, and parents responsibilities with them. They are thankful for our service provided to them. To encourage them, we gave 1 litter of food oil to each parent who attended”
