Thank you to the Samaritan Cycling USA team for choosing Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego as part of the start of their Ride Across America journey — and for spending their Saturday morning serving alongside us at Rachel’s Women’s Center.

Today, they officially hit the road on their coast-to-coast journey to raise awareness about homelessness.

Today, Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego received more than 40,000 pounds of food from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of its nationwide collaboration with America250. That’s enough food to help 1,400 families for a week.

Two faith communities came together with a shared commitment to serve our neighbors and meet a pressing need: helping families put nutritious food on the table.

The donation will replenish our Emergency Food Distribution Network Plus pantries across San Diego and Imperial Counties, bringing relief to families facing food insecurity.

We are grateful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, JustServe volunteers, and everyone who helped make today’s delivery possible. Together, we are showing families that their neighbors care.

Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego was proud to take part in the Imperial County Behavioral Health Services 4th Annual Recovery Walk! 💙

Our Homeless Services, Immigrant Services, and Community Services teams joined together to connect with community members and local organizations while sharing information about the resources and support available through Catholic Charities.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to be out in the community, build connections, and make sure individuals and families know where they can turn for support.

Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego is alerting our community about ongoing scams targeting individuals seeking immigration legal services.
Scammers may falsely claim to represent Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego or one of our programs, as well as use the name and/or logo of Catholic Charities generally from other cities/states, as well as claim to be Catholic Charities USA.
They may contact individuals through social media, text messages, email, or messaging apps, offering immigration assistance or enrollment in special programs.
These offers are not legitimate.
Scammers may:
• Claim to work for Catholic Charities or use our name or logo
• Promise immigration benefits, legal assistance, or faster processing
• Ask for personal or confidential information or documents
• Request payment through Zelle, Venmo, gift cards, or other payment methods
These individuals are not connected to Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego.
Protect yourself and your family:
• Do not respond to unexpected messages offering immigration assistance.
• Do not share personal information or documents.
• Do not send money through digital payment apps or gift cards.

Today, Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego, at our Imperial Valley location, partnered with Cody’s Closet to host a clothing distribution supporting children in need of school clothing and unsheltered adults in our community. ❤️

With the support of volunteers from St. Mary’s Catholic School and missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the event helped provide essential clothing to individuals and families in need.

Together, we’re helping our neighbors feel supported, cared for, and ready for the days ahead.

Today we celebrated the grand opening of the Rayo de Esperanza Pantry through our Emergency Food Distribution Network Plus program (EFDN+), the first of five Family Resource Center pantries launching through a partnership between Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego and the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Together, we are bringing food assistance directly into school communities, providing families with support, dignity, and hope. Thank you to the Chula Vista Elementary School District Team, the Rayo de Esperanza Family Resource Center team, our EFDN+ staff, volunteers, donors, and  community partners who made this milestone possible!
