To everyone who came out to The Miqlat Project's Human Trafficking Awareness Banquet, thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
We'll be honest.
Leading up to this event, we faced discouragement from every direction. There were moments we wondered if it would even come together. But we kept moving forward, kept trusting God, and He showed up in ways we could never have orchestrated ourselves.
👉Over 100 people in the room.
👉More raised than any year before.
👉That's not us. That's Him.
We're deeply grateful to Senior Pastor Roland Slade of Meridian Baptist Church, whose prayer opened the afternoon and moved every person in the room.
To Yasmin Bigdeli, Deputy District Attorney, for joining us as our guest speaker and sharing what it really takes to bring survivors to safety and hold traffickers accountable.
To Alexia Brack for guiding the day as our MC with grace and energy.
To Dawn and Sean for keeping the raffle fun!
And to The Hills Church for opening your doors and hosting us with such generosity.
This fight against human trafficking is bigger than any one of us. But days like this remind us we're not fighting it alone!
