Imagine a single dot on a piece of paper – you don’t know if it’s the starting point to a letter which will be a part of many more dots to create a word, sentence, paragraph, essay, etc. Maybe that dot will be a part of an axis for a graph, where other dots will be added to create numbers, labels, points, formulas, symbols, etc. So many illustrations and possibilities can arise from one dot. Imagine that the paper is YOU. That dot is a basic stem cell. And the writing utensil, that’s science. Sometimes, paper gets crumpled, or stepped on, or torn, or smeared – and it alters the image that was created initially. In life, we develop health problems: cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig’s, diabetes, arthritis, etc. These problems have smeared our picture. How can we get rid of them and reconstruct what we had before? We can erase that part of our picture, go back and start with a simple dot again. Stem cells are the first dot of our picture. They can be transformed into any other texture or saturation. They are, more or less, the beginning of LIFE. Science research continues to progress, and with it, we also see the increased potential of utilizing stem cells as a medical basis for treatments and cures to the health problems mentioned above, and beyond. This site is here to increase awareness to the science and medical research currently happening for stem cells, including the legislative viewpoint, and to build a community of supporters! We highly encourage any and all to share their opinions on stem cell research, whether it be from a medical approach, a patient perspective, a relative of someone suffering from a health problem which stem cells can benefit, an interested community member, a student, academic professor, etc. "We the people" have the right to bring awareness to this Cure. Promote your research! Spread the word! Research has already shown us that stem cells have aided as treatments, but we believe, with increased and ongoing support, that treatments and research will evolve and ultimately, that Stem Cells Cure.
