Key Conservation

Key Conservation The Key platform works to help fill gaps of support and funding for global conservation efforts Wildlife conservation doesn’t have the luxury of standing still.

Every day, conservation projects around the globe are out fighting their own tough battles to save their species. Money is scarce, so are supplies, skills and time. If an emergency arises, such as a tiger being caught in a snare or a sea turtle patrol car breaks down, where does the money come from? It wasn’t in the budget, but these events can’t be ignored. Without the ability for projects to res

olve the issues that they face, the animals that they are working so hard to save ultimately suffer. This is where Key Conservation comes in, where everyone is empowered to help. We are currently in the developing stages, so to be the first to know more go to www.keyconservation.com and sign-up!

Green sea turtles have officially been reclassified from Endangered to Least Concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

This milestone represents decades of coordinated conservation action guided by the assessments, which draw from extensive field data, long-term population monitoring, and collaboration across nations and ecosystems.

None of this would have been possible without the countless individuals on the ground, from community rangers and local fishers to scientists and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly to protect nesting sites and ensure hatchlings make it to sea. Their dedication, combined with coordinated efforts like nesting beach protection, bycatch reduction, and international trade restrictions under and more, made this status change possible.

It’s a reminder that every action matters and that together, we can create real, measurable impact. 🌊🐢

🌍 Remembering Jane Goodall

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall, a true pioneer, visionary, and lifelong ambassador for conservation and women in science.

A few years ago, some of our team members were fortunate to attend one of her talks in London and met her afterward. In that brief moment, she left us with some encouragement that we’ll never forget.

At that event, we captured a short video of her greeting the audience the way chimpanzees greet each other in the wild, a beautiful reminder of her unique ability to connect people with nature.

Jane often said that every individual can make a difference. Her life and work are proof of that, and this belief is at the heart of our mission: building ways for people everywhere to take action for conservation. We are grateful for the path she paved for all who care about protecting our planet.

🕊️ Thank you, Jane, for showing the world what is possible when compassion, courage, and science come together.

An App for Conservation

Conservation organizations don’t have the luxury of standing still. Every day, conservationists around the globe are out fighting tough battles to save species. Money is scarce, so are supplies, skills and time. If an emergency arises, such as a tiger being caught in a snare or a sea turtle patrol vehicle breaks down, where does the money come from? It wasn’t in the budget, but these events can’t be ignored. This is where Key Conservation comes in, where everyone is empowered to help.

Key Conservation is helping conservationists receive critical funding and increased global support through a mobile app that provides real-time video updates on day-to-day campaigns. The mobile app will have a scrolling feed that will update as needs from conservationists occur globally. The app provides three ways for conservation organizations to get help and three ways for supporters to give it.

The first feature allows supporters to give funds to a conservation project to help with immediate or long-term needs. The second feature is Skilled Impact which enables supporters to give their professional skills. Lastly, the In-Person feature allows supporters to be alerted to real-time volunteer opportunities in their area through geo-based push notifications. After the contribution has been put to use the conservation organization will send a photo/video update to the supporter to show the outcome. Creating a transparent, stronger and more intimate connection that supporters crave.

We are currently developing the app, to learn more and to get involved head to www.keyconservation.org!
