To receive a proclamation from the City of San Diego in honor of the work Fresh Soil Mentoring has done throughout the years is truly humbling.

This recognition isn’t just about me — it’s about the community we serve, the resilience of our youth, and the power of advocacy that continues to open doors and create change.
I want to pay homage to my FSM team — The heartbeat of this work. 💖 Without your dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering belief in our mission, none of this would be possible.

And most of all, I give glory to God, the true foundation of everything we do. Every door opened, every life touched, every victory celebrated — it’s all by His grace.

Our mission is to be a symbol of hope for youth throughout our community and beyond. 💛

Thank you again, City of San Diego, for recognizing the importance of mentorship, community, and supporting youth. This moment belongs to all of us. 🙌🏽💛🌟

Honored to volunteer at the 2025 Promise2Kids Gala. Since 2022, I’ve had the privilege of supporting Promise2Kids in their mission to serve children in the foster care system.

In San Diego County, overdose deaths dropped 28% in 2024, with opioid-related deaths falling nearly 35% thanks to expanded Narcan access, community education, and prevention programs. Across California, the state continues to invest in life-saving strategies, distributing free Narcan kits, installing vending machines for easy access, and empowering youth and families with knowledge to fight the opioid crisis.
