๐๏ธ 2026 MICHIGAN COMPETITION RECAP
Thatโs it. The 2025-2026 Formula SAE EV Season is over and competition was a great way to finish it out. Before competition officially started, our team headed out to Detroit to be able to test our vehicleโs aerodynamics at Fordโs Wind Tunnel facilities. This experience allowed us to gather data that we would not be able to get any other way and is invaluable to the development of future iterations of the AER car.
Moving into competition, we worked through quite a few challenges such asโฆ
๐ Change in weather conditions (wet paddock)
๐ Sheltering in place due to storms
๐ Hours spent in hot work
We were able to pass Tractive Battery Tech, a first in AER history. While we werenโt able to continue to EV Tech, we hope that what we learned from this year will help us reach EV Tech next year and Dynamic Events.
Accomplishments didnโt just stop there, we scored the highest total points for both Design Event and Cost Event in AER history, a true showcase of the hard work from all of our subteams. We aim to continue growing and working hard to be able to fully compete at competition not only for next year, but future years as well.
Go Aztecs!
