IAMBKCDC motto is “Self Improvement is The Bases of Community Development”. The mission of the agency is to develop and operate programs that substantially improve the quality of life for the residents of the City of

San Diego, CA. To that end, our programs include educational and supportive services such as student enrichment, computer lab, entrepreneurship training, mentoring, parenting classes, senior services, food and nutrition, green job training and educational housing opportunities. This agency operates several different community based programs, including MEN (Men Engaging Neighborhoods), The IAMBK Charter School and Silence The Violence Open Mic’s.

I Am My Brother's Keeper CDC is participating in the California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) program grant. Youth aged 16-28 are invited to participate in our Male Leadership, Female Leadership, and Green Jobs Development training courses. Justice Involved are welcome. I Am My Brother’s Keeper CDC has enjoyed a well-earned reputation for over twenty years by providing life-impacting services and programs to an underserved community, regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, or religion. Responding to unparalleled food insecurity caused by the Covid-19 pandemic shutdowns in March 2020, we have continued to operate and maintain a weekly food distribution against all odds and obstacles. During this era of funding cutbacks, scale backs, and reassessments, we ask for your financial support to enable IAMBKCDC to continue to provide a food distribution for approximately 500 households per week, in a community suffering from food and nutrition disparities well over the median levels.
