Hello, neighbors! We’re excited to share an update on the Paradise Hills Foundation’s beautification and community-support efforts.
We recently applied for several grants that, if awarded, would help us make a meaningful difference—one project at a time.
🌿 Capacity Building Grant — City of San Diego
We are seeking funding to improve the orange stamped-concrete medians along Reo Drive and support cleanup and beautification efforts around Tonawanda Drive and Valley Road.
🤝 Community Projects, Programs and Services Grant
We applied for funding to provide temporary assistance to local families experiencing financial hardship, including help with essential needs.
The funding could also help pay for dumpsters so we can continue offering that resource to families who are unable to make trips to the dump—especially if City funding for this service is eliminated.
🎨 Arts, Culture and Community Festivals Grant
This funding would help us bring music, art and cultural experiences to Paradise Hills. It would also allow us to celebrate San Diego’s diversity, support local artists and encourage greater cultural awareness.
🏘️ County Neighborhood Reinvestment Program
We applied for funding to purchase and install a permanent monument sign welcoming residents and visitors to Paradise Hills.
We are also exploring fundraising opportunities to help make this project a reality. Community support will be essential, and we’ll need residents, local businesses and community partners to help bring the monument to life.
With your help, the Paradise Hills Foundation will continue building partnerships and pursuing resources that make our community cleaner, safer, more welcoming and more connected.
We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about these grant applications. Thank you for supporting Paradise Hills! 💚
