BRE Reaches All-Star Status on America’s Healthiest Schools List!!!
After making its debut on the America’s Healthiest Schools list last year, Bird Rock Elementary set its sights higher—and thanks to the dedicated efforts of its Wellness Committee, the school officially achieved national “All-Star” status.

Announced by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Bird Rock Elementary was designated as one of 1,376 of America’s Healthiest Schools nationwide and one of only 200 in the entire country to earn the prestigious all-star distinction.

Looking ahead, we will soon be seeking enthusiastic parent and student volunteers to collaborate with our Wellness Committee and support various wellness initiatives throughout the school year.

A proud day for our Bird Rock Elementary community!
At its June 23 meeting, the City Council officially proclaimed August 26, 2026 as Bird Rock Elementary 75th Anniversary Day in the City of San Diego. Our BRE community showed up - including some of our littlest Pelicans, who helped celebrate by singing a special tribute to our school.
