This training is appropriate for professional artists with a variety of levels of teaching experience, from those with as little as no paid experience looking for foundational knowledge; to experienced teaching artists seeking to enhance and refresh their work.

Ellen Kaz grew up and trained at The Second City Theatre in Chicago with some of Improv's true greats, including Billy Murray, the Belushi brothers, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, Tina Fey, and many, many more. With her parents both working at Second City for decades, there wasn't a show she did NOT see develop or a performer she did not witness own their moment. Ellen was raised with improv as her first language and the Second City as her home and is thrilled to offer her insights and coaching along with plenty of positive encouragement to folks here in San Diego.
